Addison Wu
Addison Wu (he/him), a first-year Integrative Arts student, who has returned to one of his hobbies lately, Cardistry, the performance art of card flourishing. He wishes to be called as a "Cardist" so he can officially become one of those amazing card people on the internet.
Growing up in Hong Kong wasn't really a good thing to him, failing to catch up all the work at school and receiving screwed grades had become common on him. Addison was desperate as all he wanted was a sense of achievement, until he found one, Cardistry. Thanks to the introduction of Cardistry community by his classmates in 2019, it was definitely the only thing he was good at back in the ways. Comparing to schoolwork and exams, playing card tricks are more of a better way to achieve success in his life. Meanwhile, Hong Kong's educational system was getting harsh year by year, leaving him no choice but to move to Toronto at grade 11 to continue his journey.
With hours of practice in his room days by days, Addison found himself able to perform some of the well-known card flourishes created by those inspiring cardists on Instagram. Despite a long term suspension on Cardistry due to the applications of University last year, Addison has decided to return to the community and gives himself a try to show his long lost skills to the public!
He will continue to explore the art of Cardistry, he wishes his audience to find it visually impressive and very hard to execute.

A short video that involves bunch of eye-catching card tricks and two-handed cuts performance using many different decks of cards. While he admits that his tricks are not smooth enough, he put his words in such way: "Cardistry means Card is try, you don't always have to be perfect, but at least you gotta try~"
