Looking back at some of the great road trips I went on as a child, I tend to remember the movies I watched more than parts of the trip itself. We had a small DVD player to watch during those long hours of driving, and I remember wanting to stay inside and keep watching movies instead of exploring new places. I would rather be cramped with my brothers in a stuffy car and a movie I knew line-by-line than face something new. I was secretly afraid of the new and unknown, and I only wanted to experience adventure through the safety of a screen.
